Mentioning vs. Promotional
If we use a specific medium to implement our New Year's resolution, how do we determine what would be considered promotional and what is our explaining how said medium helps us? The goal of the contest is to explain how technology helps us achieve our health care goals, so if we have one mechanism that allows us to do so, shouldn't we focus on that product?
For example: Let us say that there is a specific app on a phone that allows us to incorporate multiple facets of our health treatment. If our goal is to incorporate that app into our daily regimen, our video would be centralized around that app. Because although we could do the same thing with pen and paper, or with multiple mechanisms, it's the fact that technology has bundled these into one product that allows the convenience and, therefore the motivation, to accomplish our goals. The further away we get from that point, the more generic the film is going to be (I use phones as part of my treatment. I use technology as part of my treatment. etc.)
Thanks, and looking forward.

Sounds like the video in first place is marking a technology site as mentioned. Are there any requirements for the use of the winnings? The first place video targets one individual while other videos targets a larger population which is feel is more worthwhile. Just my opinion!

Hi Sonja,
Thanks for writing. Per the official rules: "The Video may mention a commercial business, industry name, brand name, product placement or other trademark only for the purpose of describing how information technology will be used to achieve the resolution. "
To answer your question about the prize money, there are no requirements on how the winnings must be spent.
Best,
Marny
